The SHOP building (the red building) contains 900 square feet of space, built on a concrete slab. It has its own transformer and electrical panel box with a positive shut-off breaker on the outside pole. There are many built-in workbenches and shelving units outfitted to woodworking and automobile maintenance. On the south end of the building is a solar gain area where hardwoods are stacked to dry; it also helps keep the building warm in the winter.

The BARN (the white/tin building) contains approx. 950 sq. feet of space and has built in tiered levels for stacking wood. There is a drive-through also for parking trucks, tractors or other equipment. It has clear panels to allow for more light.

The SOLAR SHOWER and PUMP HOUSE are also pictured below. The solar shower can be used in the summer if you wish (there is nobody within 1/3 of a mile to see you). The pump house is well insulated, the well is 82 feet deep with a 1/2 HP submersible pump, but we almost always use the community water system for water supply. There is a hand-built bird feeder in the foreground.

There is another small outbuilding for storage, built on a stone masonry knee wall, but it is not pictured.
